Bishop's Cleeve Primary Academy

School Day

We open our school gates at 8.40am when children are able to access their classrooms under the supervision of their teacher. The school day starts promptly at 8.55am and ends at 3.15pm. Children are to be dropped off at their classroom back doors. Junior children can be dropped at the main gate to walk to their classroom themselves.

The main school gates will be locked each morning at 8.55am. Children arriving after this time will need to report to the school office where the reason for their lateness and school dinner requests will be recorded. If your child arrives to school after 9.25am, this will be classed as an unauthorised late and will be recorded so on the register.

Parents will not be allowed into school after 8.50am due to our safeguarding responsibilities.

At the end of the school day, parents can access the school site via main gate. Please note, the Reception side gate is for EYFS children, their siblings and their parents only. Children are collected via the back door of each classroom.

KS2 children only: If you would like to meet your child at the main school gate, you will need to complete the permission form, you can request this via admin.bcpa@glatrust.org.uk

Years 5 +6 only: If you would like your child to leave the school site alone and meet you at an agreed location, you will need to complete the permission form, you can request this via admin.bcpa@glatrust.org.uk

If normal arrangements have to be altered (e.g. you are delayed or another person is collecting your child) please let us know, either in the school office or directly with your child's teacher.

Getting to School

To get to and from school, walking or riding is definitely the best option! We do have cycle and scooter racks outside the front of the school where you can lock up bicycles and scooters. If you have to drive to school it is best to park in Tesco's car park which is adjacent to the school. Please be considerate to our neighbours if you park in any of the surrounding roads.

Please note that the school car park is for the use of staff members only. Parents are not permitted to drop-off or collect their children using the school drive for safety reasons.
