Bishop's Cleeve Primary Academy

OUR MULTI-ACADEMY TRUST

GLA Logo

We are part of a local multi-academy trust, the Gloucestershire Learning Alliance (GLA).

The GLA Trust started on 1st November 2013 with founder schools Bishop's Cleeve Primary Academy, Rowanfield Junior School and Springbank Primary Academy. Later on we were joined by Rowanfield Infant School and then Longford Park Primary Academy, a brand new academy,  joined the trust when it opened in September 2017. In 2018, we were joined by Badsey First School in Worcestershire. In September 2020 Tredington School joined the GLA. Most recently we have seen our newest school, Great Oldbury Primary Academy open it's doors in September 2021.

The creation of the GLA was a natural progression of our belief in a partnership ethos and our determination to ensure that more young people receive an exceptional education through Quality First Teaching. While we each continue to strive for this in our own settings through effective recruitment and teaching and learning policies, we have benefited from the shared capacity of expertise across the three schools that has significantly impacted on the outcomes we are able to achieve.

GLA News - autumn 2023

The Trustees at the Gloucestershire Learning Alliance (GLA) are consulting on the proposed admissions policy for Churchdown Village Infant School for entry in 2025/2026. All queries regarding these admission arrangements should be emailed to admissionpolicyconsultation@glatrust.org.uk  by the 30th November 2023.

We have made one change to the policy in order to align to all GLA schools by removing the over-subscription criteria that prioritises places for the children of members of staff:
