Playmates - Before & After-School Club

Playmates is a fun club for BCPA children to receive wrap-around care at a breakfast and after-school club. The club operates from the Community Centre next to our school.

At Playmates the children are split across two rooms, one for receptions to year 3s and another for years 4, 5 and 6. Both rooms include…

• THE ART STATION - an area full of everything that a creative child needs to make masterpieces or get involved in the weekly art project
• THE IT HUB - an area housing two games consoles and TVs for children who want to play video games
• THE CHILL ZONE - with hammock chairs, beanbags and books to read for the peaceful child
• OUTDOOR PLAY - for the active child, we have access to the BCPA infant playground to play sports, let off steam or explore 'Welly Wood' and play under the trees.

It is a completely independent business that offers care for children from Reception to the end of Year 6.

Playmates staff drop children off at our school in the morning and then collect them from school at the end of the school day. They will also collect children who attend after-school clubs at our school when the club finishes.

Breakfast Club - 7.00am - 8.45am

Children will be given a healthy breakfast to start their day with their friends and then time to play or just chill, after which they will be escorted to school by the Playmates Care Team.

After School Club - 3.15pm - 6.00pm

Children are collected from their classroom by one of the team and taken back to the Community Centre where they will receive a healthy tea and have the chance to get involved with many activities planned for their enjoyment.
