Caterlink information and frequently asked questions

The dining hall provides a space for children to enjoy healthy food with their friends.

Children in KS1 are entitled to a free hot dinner every day - they just need to let their teacher know on the day that they would like a hot dinner when the register is taken.

Meals for children in KS2 are charged at £2.53/day, payable via the Arbor App.
Hot lunches must be paid for in advance. Please make sure that you keep your account in credit.
If your account is £7.59 in debt (3 lunches) your child will no longer be allowed to have a hot dinner until payment is received. Under these circumstances you will need to bring in a packed lunch from home for them.

Children are asked each day at morning registration whether they would like a hot dinner, they do not need to be booked in advance. We operate a system of pre-ordered hot lunches. Each morning, when taking the register, the children will be asked which type of hot dinner they would like: a meat-based meal; a vegetarian meal, a jacket potato or a sandwich option.

Packed Lunches from home

Alternatively, a healthy packed lunch can be bought in from home. We ask that children do not bring fizzy drinks, sweets or chocolate to school. We are a healthy school and we promote a balanced diet for all of our pupils.
We are a nut free school, please do not pack anything containing nuts in lunch boxes.

FREE SCHOOL MEALS

If you think your child may be eligible for free school meals (not the universal school meals that all KS1 children are entitled to) you can apply via the GCC website Parent Portal.

ALLERGIES

If your child has a food allergy or intolerance please let us know at the School Office where we will ask you to complete a Health Care Plan alongside Miss Vallender (lead first aider) and Mrs Ginty (school SENDCo).

In addition to this, you will also need to complete the Allergy and Intolerance form for a special diet menu to be completed for your child. Please note it may take up to 14 days from receipt of the form by Caterlink for a special menu to be available for your child.

Please be aware that if you have notified us of a food allergy or intolerance but NOT completed the form to arrange for an allergy-free menu for your child, Caterlink will only be able to offer a plain jacket potato until they receive a completed form from you.
